The Spanish Conquest was a success because the Spaniards succeeded in advancing their culture.
For one, the Spaniards created a clear social class system, though it may be unfair (it consistently placed Spaniards, Christians, and those born in Spain), it had a sense of structure. The class system had many advantages to Christians, if a native became a Christian or married a Spanish man, the family from which the bride came from was moved from slave to lower class, which was a large advantage for the natives. On the top of the class system where conquistadors, then there where Christians of Spanish blood, then of native blood, and last where native slaves. By the end of the Spanish Conquest, there where not many native slaves left, most had died of disease/influenza spread from Europe to there land by Spaniards. All in all, Spaniards created a social class system in which even some natives could advance in.
Another advancement in Spanish Conquest was scientific discovery. Before Columbus’ exploration, the people of Spain believed that the world was flat, and if you traveled too far, you will find the end of the world, a never ending abyss. Columbus was sure that the world was round, so sure the he believed could travel to Asia by going west from Spain.

Another advancement in Spanish exploration was when Fransisco Pizarro conqured the Inca empire in 1532, so he could expand Spanish land.
A large part of Spanish settlements was Conquistadors, which usually started out poor, and through exploration, became rich and power hungry. This gave conquistadors social mobility. Power determined wealth, and the conquistadors attempted to start a voyage and conquer regions and empires such as the Incas and Aztecs. In , Cortes secured the Aztec empire for Spain, converting many to Christianity.

The Spanish Conquest
I about 1500 and Spain is losing money fast. The Spaniards are very poor, and desperate for both wealth, fame, and power. They have just been given rights to conquer half of the world by the pope, and they send out many conquistadors to explore the world, and to find a westward passage to Asia, to trade with the Chinese by sea. Christopher Columbus found the new world looking for the westward passage, traveling east, Francisco Pizarro conquered the Ina Empire, and Cortes conquered the Aztecs. All of these helped Spain achieve there goal to become more wealthy. Other explorers such as Ponce De Leone searched for the fabled fountain of youth. These explorers where harsh, and treated natives badly, giving a bad reputation to Spanish blood. The Spanish Conquest was a success because the Spaniards succeeded in advancing their culture.

This was another way of advancing culture, as well as a way to give more power and wealth to poor Spaniards.
The Spanish conquest gave many Spaniards a chance to spread culture. Another way Spaniards could expand their culture was to conquer there land, given to them under the order of the pope, and to convert the natives all to Christianity. Because of this, they where able to gain more power.
